National Juneteenth BBQ competition
Mission: To foster a love for the origins of BBQ, to share the history of Juneteenth and BBQ and types of BBQ. While giving to the community, the competition is not only about food (BBQ) but community involvement

Encourage the marketing of BBQ for Juneteenth, safety, and best practices to the Juneteenth Nation (MOU) The model and mission of the National Juneteenth Bar B Que Competition is based on the principles of the Juneteenth BBQ legends. These Juneteenthers not only feed the community, but they also encouraged the community to move ahead for the better just by their actions.

Entry Details & Logistics
Dissemination of the competition guidelines and their operation will be given to NJOF regional and state directors. Winners from regional or local events will have the option to attend our Annual Meeting in October and compete for the national championship to be awarded (Champion) for the following Juneteenth year.

Judging Options
Judge by tokens (preferred)
Judges have tokens to award contestants’ food they like. The contestant with the most tokens is the winner.
Judge by Assessment
A panel of selected judges compare the submissions and agree by vote on winners in each category.
Winners and their Juneteenth organization must submit their candidates for national on or before July 1, 2022
