Deborah ‘Dee’ Evans was introduced to Juneteenth by former NJOF board member Lestine Byers. She served as a C.I.E.S.S. volunteer on community and Juneteenth events.

Founder of DAE Communications, co-founder of the HumP Dyddi Cyti Recording studios, Chicago and Las Vegas

Member of the God’s Gang Youth advisory board from 2000 – 2018.

Upon relocation to Las Vegas in 2005, Dee accepted the position of NJOF Nevada state director. NJOF chairman and founder Rev. Ronald V. Myers, Sr.
M.D. mentored her in the activities of setting up the Juneteenth organization in Nevada. She was instrumental in the passage of the Nevada Juneteenth legislation and was honored in 2011 to be presented with a signed bill by Governor Brian Sandoval.
